Crystal Rd Area to Rt 203, North Windham Leg

I'm amazingly already 3 posts/walks behind, believe it or not!  It never rains but it pours. (Although there's still no rain in sight for these parts....)  In any case, we had such success with our Saturday walk on the East Coast Greenway, we decided to go out again Sunday, this time at the easterly end of our progression in North Windham.  The Map Man obligingly dropped the Girl Child and me off at the end of the dead-end road where we departed the trail in mid -June and raced on ahead 1.5 miles to park the car to the east and come in from that end to meet us.

Above, at our starting point for the day.  Below, the morning sunshine made for some very inviting-looking shadows and lighting.

Above, if you blow this photo up large enough,  you will see The Map Man about a mile down the trail.  These rail trails sure are straight and flat!  This was about the point that I realized I'd forgotten to change my knee brace from my 24/7 soft support to the bulkier structured brace I use for stuff like this.  This was really going to be testing it out!

Below, a sign delineating the White Cedar Bog that follows along the trail in Chaplin.

We finished 1.5 miles later at the trail parking area on Route 203, with my knee still feeling strong.  I guess we really ARE back!  39.25 miles walked, 54.25 miles traversed, and 2945.75 miles to go!
