Yesterday, The Girl Child and I hit a small piece of the East Coast Greenway that runs on the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in Avon. We started at a trail parking lot on Security Drive and walked 3/4 of a mile south (towards Florida!) to Country Club Rd before turning baxk due to time constraints. We're hoping to get out today to walk the piece connecting this little segment to the rest of what we have already walked. It's getting cold for walking, but we'd like to get as much done as we can before wintry precipitation starts making trail walking hazardous.
